Battery Disposal Notice pursuant to the German Battery Act (Batteriegesetz – BattG)
In accordance with the German Battery Act (Batteriegesetz – BattG), we are obligated to inform our customers about the proper disposal of batteries and rechargeable batteries.
Obligation to Return Batteries
Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with normal household waste. As a consumer, you are legally required to return used batteries. You may return used batteries free of charge at any point of sale that stocks batteries, or at designated municipal collection points near you.
Meaning of Battery Symbols
Batteries containing hazardous substances are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin. Below this symbol, the chemical abbreviation of the hazardous substance is indicated: Cd (Cadmium), Pb (Lead), Hg (Mercury).
Products Containing Batteries
Certain personal care and beauty devices sold in our shop (e.g. electric styling tools, sonic cleansing brushes) may contain batteries or be sold with batteries included. Please refer to the individual product description to determine whether a product contains a battery and of what type.
Battery Return by Post
You may also return used batteries to us free of charge by post. Please send them safely packaged to our correspondence address in Germany:
