Electrical and Electronic Equipment Information pursuant to the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (Elektro- und Elektronikgerätegesetz – ElektroG)
In accordance with the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG), we provide the following information regarding the disposal of electrical and electronic equipment.
Disposal of Old Electrical and Electronic Equipment
Electrical and electronic devices must not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste. In accordance with EU Directive 2012/19/EU (WEEE Directive) and the German ElektroG, such devices must be collected separately and recycled properly.
Devices bearing the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin must be returned separately from household waste to an authorised collection point.
Return Options for Consumers
You can return old electrical devices free of charge at the following locations:
- Municipal recycling centres (Wertstoffhöfe) in your area
- Retailers selling electrical equipment (1:1 return for equivalent devices purchased; 0:1 return for small devices at stores with a retail floor area of at least 400 m²)
- Authorised collection points operated by local waste management authorities
Applicable Products in Our Shop
Some products in our beauty and hair care range may qualify as electrical or electronic equipment (e.g. hair dryers, straighteners, electric styling tools, sonic cleansing devices, electric toothbrushes). These products are marked accordingly in their product descriptions. Please dispose of these items responsibly at the end of their life.
